Protest photo (Yearbook 1969)

The Franciscan largely adopts an insular view of the St. Francis College student experience. As the 1939 Yearbook states:

"The 1939 Franciscan is a natural product. The whole aim is an informality and intimacy that keeps tempo with the rompings of its terrier." (Yearbook 1939)

The Franciscan yearbook is designed to offer a lighthearted reflection on life at St. Francis rather than grappling with current world events. However, there are times when outside events intrude on college life. The Franciscan offers a glimpse into the way college community respond to these events.
